Update your Phoenix NACE Profile!

Hi Phoenix NACE Members!

We’ve had an amazing year so far with great speakers like Kate Patay from  Creative Coverings, interesting events like the Craft Beer Tasting and informative news like the How to get more Superbowl Business event!

These events are just one of the many benefits of NACE.

Another benefit is the Membership directory on the website. It’s a great way for potential clients from all over the country to find professionals in the Phoenix area that they can count on.

So use the member directory as a free form of advertising and to tell the world a little about you or your business!

Meet Board Member, Rachelle DeYoung

Rachelle DeYoungMeet Board Member, Rachelle DeYoung from Tempe Mission Palms.

Rachelle has been a constant NACE Cheerleader, having been on the board for the past four years. She started out as the Hospitality Chair, did two years as the Fundraising chair and is currently our Secretary.

Here's a little more about Rachelle:

What is your favorite comfort food? My homemade Chocolate chip cookies! I use sea salt and let the dough sit for at least 24 hours before baking. Try it.

Who, living or dead, would you most like to have a chat with? Channing Tatum. I need to know why he didn’t try to find me before getting married. He ruined everything!

What are you reading? “The Christmas Wedding” by James Patterson – because I love Christmas and Weddings!

What song do you most want to hear when working out? Ice cream truck tunes

Do you have any hobbies? and what are they? Besides baking and crafting, I really enjoy traveling and theme parks!

What is your favorite day of the week and why? Sunday! I get to spend the day doing whatever I want, and stay up as late as I want because I don’t work Mondays!

Do you have a favorite movie, or one you absolutely hate? This may come as a surprise, but any movie with Will Ferrell in it, drives me crazy! I’d rather watch Doc McStuffins.

What brings joy to your day? My two year old cousin that sings Amazing Grace to me in the morning as I get ready for work. Sometimes he adds his own lyrics, such as “Super Batmaaaan” which makes it even better!

Eggstravaganza Chrysalis Event

Eggstravaganza Easter Event, April 16, 2014

Phoenix NACE Volunteers transformed two classrooms and a playground at the Chrysalis shelter into an Eggstaravaganza. Using pastel linen from Y-Knot Party & Rentals, stations were setup to include Easter Wreaths, Foam Easter Baskets, Bunny Rings, Manicures and other fun Easter Crafts! Easter Eggs full of candy were hidden in every nook and cranny of the playground and classroom. Pam with AZ Pops brought a cart full of delicious Popsicles, which were a huge hit with the guests! Curtis Whipple lit the event with purple up lighting and a Happy Easter Gobo. At the end of the night, the dance floor was “hopping” as Curtis taught the group how to do the “Bunny Hop” dance.

Thank you to all of the NACE member volunteers and those who donated supplies for this event. We are very connected within our industry and it is fun to share our connections with those in need, especially when their need is to have a little fun – we are really good at that!

Please be on the lookout for more opportunities to volunteer with Phoenix NACE!

Due to the sensitivity of the organization, we cannot provide you with the fabulous photos that were taken.  Thank you so much for your understanding
