As owner and lead chef of Fresh from the Kitchen catering, Noelle Salinas says she is different from other caterers because in her words, she ‘brings me to the table’. She wear many hats as the leader of this chef driven, food forward, service led company. Going on nine years in the industry, Fresh from the Kitchen is recognized as a superior wedding caterer in the Arizona market.
Fresh flavors, good homemade food, and attention to detail is what wins awards to Fresh from the Kitchen. Paying attention to food trends then putting her own twist on it is all the fun! But enough company talk, you probably want to know Noelle! And yes, although she does breathe, live, dream, catering, she also has a life outside of the kitchen.
Noelle is a 31 year old, divorced mother of a wonderful 6 year old son. She has been to Europe once and wants to go back, took piano and violin in high school. She thinks of herself as stubborn, strong willed, hardworking, needing to lose a few pounds, been told her smile is contagious, popcorn and Indian food loving, music listening, Chef. That was a mouthful!! Her parents passed on their love of cooking before they passed, so cooking is in her genes. Always an entrepreneur, Noelle began baking for my mother’s clients at the age of 12, and she was paid for her culinary delights! For Noelle, failure is never an option.
~What she loves most right now? “My son! His name is Benjamin. He is the most loving little boy. He told me he wanted to stay little forever the other day, and I am totally okay with that!! He is a huge reason as to why I work so hard.”
~TV Show she is watching right now? “I have a couple I am watching here and there when I am able. Orphan Black, The Walking Dead, Homeland to name a few. I want to start The Crown, but not sure when that will be.”
~Dating? “ No. I work too much; but do go out with friends when able!!”
~ Fashion? “Yes of course. Am I fashionable, I try to be. I must always have a pedicure. That is a must.”
~Busy? “Always. I work late, schedule myself about 6 hours of sleep a night, and my calendar/iPad is an extension of my arm because it has my schedule.”
~ Dream event? “Anything over the top and Celebrity worthy. If you don’t dream it, think it, hope it, then work it, it won’t happen. My company catered the Maxim Super Bowl Party in 2015 which was awesome!! I can’t wait to do the next big event.”
Lastly, why is she so passionate about catering? “ 1. I get to cook and create. 2. I get paid to cook and create. 3. I love to cook and create!”
Here are just a few of the accolades that Noelle has achieved:

Member Spotlight for March
I really started my career as an HR/Executive Assistant in an Insurance Company in Hawaii. I would plan the internal parties such as retirements, birthdays, Halloween, Christmas, the company’s 60th Anniversary, etc. I also served on the board for the IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals) and learned the importance of networking and having a community of fellow professionals. I loved the party planning part of my job so much when I moved to San Antonio Texas, I was hired by Marriott Riverwalk & Rivercenter Hotels as an Assistant Event Planner and handled affiliate meetings for large conferences. I was only in Texas a year before moving to Phoenix and was offered the Catering Assistant position with the Scottsdale Resort & Conference Center. I loved the property and moved up through the ranks to become their Wedding Specialist during my four years there. I was able to grow professionally and started attending NACE. My personal life took off as well during that time as I met, dated and married my husband Jeff and then started our family (welcoming a baby boy back in 2015). After my son was born, I was offered the Wedding Specialist position with the San Marcos Resort, which was perfect being so close to home/the babysitter. I have been happily selling, planning, and fulfilling wedding dreams here at the San Marcos for a year and a half and will be taking a brief hiatus this summer to welcome our daughter next month!
